Becki Newton (born July 4, 1978) is an American actress known for her roles as Amanda Tanen on Ugly Betty and Quinn Garvey on How I Met Your Mother. Newton was born in New Haven, Connecticut, and is of English, Czech, Norwegian, French, and Scottish descent. She began her career in New York City, appearing in television commercials and PSA videos. Newton gained recognition for her portrayal of Amanda Tanen in the ABC comedy-drama series Ugly Betty from 2006 to 2010. She also co-hosted the official Ugly Betty podcast and starred in ABC.com's web series Mode After Hours. Alongside her TV work, Newton has made appearances in various movies and TV shows.
