Béla Fleck

Béla Fleck is an American banjo player and composer, known for his innovative and genre-crossing approach to playing the banjo. Born on July 10, 1958, in New York City, Fleck began his musical journey at a young age, learning to play the banjo. He gained recognition as a member of the progressive bluegrass band New Grass Revival in the 1980s. Fleck has released numerous solo albums and has collaborated with a wide range of artists, including Chick Corea, Dave Matthews, and Zakir Hussain. His work spans various genres, including bluegrass, jazz, classical, and world music. Fleck has won multiple Grammy Awards and has been nominated in more categories than any other musician in history.
