Ben Affleck Biography
Benjamin Géza Affleck (born August 15, 1972) is an American actor and filmmaker. He began his career as a child actor in the PBS educational series The Voyage of the Mimi (1984, 1988) and gained wider recognition for his role in the independent comedy Dazed and Confused (1993). Affleck rose to fame when he and Matt Damon won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for writing Good Will Hunting (1997), in which they also starred. He has since established himself as a leading man in studio films such as Armageddon (1998), Pearl Harbor (2001), and The Sum of All Fears (2002). Affleck has also directed several successful films including Gone Baby Gone (2007) and Argo (2012), for which he won the Academy Award for Best Picture.
