Sir Benjamin Peter James Bradshaw is a British politician and former Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport. Born on August 30, 1960, Bradshaw has been a Member of Parliament for Exeter since 1997, representing the Labour Party. Before his political career, he worked as a BBC Radio reporter. Bradshaw's father, Peter Bradshaw, was a former canon of Norwich Cathedral, and his mother is Daphne Murphy. He completed his education at Thorpe Grammar School, the University of Sussex, and the University of Freiburg in Germany. Additionally, he taught English at a school in Winterthur, Switzerland. Bradshaw's journalistic experience includes working for Exeter Express & Echo, Eastern Daily Press, and BBC Radio Devon.
