Benjamin John Whishaw (born 14 October 1980) is an English actor. He gained recognition for his role in the film Perfume: The Story of a Murderer (2006) and his portrayal of Q in the James Bond films Skyfall (2012), Spectre (2015), and No Time to Die (2021). Whishaw has also appeared in television shows such as Nathan Barley (2005), Criminal Justice (2008), and The Hour (2011–12). He received critical acclaim for his performance in the title role of Richard II in the BBC Two adaptation of The Hollow Crown (2012), winning a British Academy Television Award for Best Actor. Whishaw has been nominated for multiple awards throughout his career, including an Olivier Award and a BAFTA Award.
