Benedict Samuel Biography
Benedict Samuel (born 15 April 1988) is an Australian actor, writer, and director. He is best known for his roles as Jervis Tetch / Mad Hatter in the Fox crime series Gotham and as Owen in The Walking Dead. Samuel was born in Adelaide, Australia, and is the youngest of three siblings. He attended Christian Brothers College in Adelaide and graduated from The National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA). Samuel has written and directed several short films, including Sanctuary (2012), which starred his brother Xavier Samuel. He has also performed in theater productions, such as 'Tis Pity She's a Whore at the Malthouse Theatre in Melbourne.
