He gained recognition for his animation work, particularly for his film Once Upon a Time in the Woods, which features a Rotoscope of his younger brother Julian during a walk in the woods. This film has been showcased in various film contests worldwide and on Current TV. Arthur also contributed to NPR's animation projects, creating popular animations like 'Why Can't We Walk Straight?' and 'The Billion Bug Highway.' His collaboration with Robert Krulwich on these projects earned them a third-place Multimedia Innovation award in the White House News Photographers Association's 2011 Eyes of History: New Media Contest.
