Bernadette Peters

Bernadette Peters (née Lazzara; born February 28, 1948) is an American actress, singer, and children's book author. With a career spanning over six decades, she has showcased her talent in musical theatre, television, and film. Known for her incredible performances on Broadway, Peters has received numerous accolades, including seven Tony Awards nominations, of which she won two, and three Drama Desk Awards. She has also made significant contributions to the world of music, with four Grammy-winning Broadway cast albums. As a celebrated artist, Peters is highly regarded for her interpretations of Stephen Sondheim's works. Some of her notable Broadway roles include Mack and Mabel, Sunday in the Park with George, and Gypsy. In addition to her theatrical achievements, Peters has released six solo albums.
