Bernard Hill, born on December 17, 1944, is an English actor known for his notable roles in various films and television dramas. He gained recognition for portraying Théoden, King of Rohan, in The Lord of the Rings film series and Captain Edward Smith in Titanic. Hill's versatile acting skills were also showcased in his portrayal of Luther Plunkitt, the Warden of San Quentin Prison, in the Clint Eastwood film True Crime.
