Bernie Casey
Bernie Casey (June 8, 1939 – September 19, 2017) was an American actor, poet, and former professional American football player. Born in Wyco, West Virginia, Casey graduated from East High School in Columbus, Ohio, and attended Bowling Green State University. He achieved success as a record-breaking hurdler and helped the 1959 football team win a small college national championship. Casey was selected ninth overall in the 1961 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers and played eight seasons in the NFL, six with the 49ers and two with the Los Angeles Rams. After his football career, he transitioned to acting, appearing in numerous movies and TV shows.
