    Beth Chamberlin is an American actress, born on October 1, 1963, in Danville, Vermont. She started her career studying ballet with the American Ballet Theatre before pursuing a dance/theater major at New York University. Chamberlin has an extensive background in regional theater, with credits including The Taming of the Shrew, Godspell, Flowers for Algernon, and You Can't Take It with You. However, she is best known for her portrayal of Beth Raines on the CBS soap opera, Guiding Light. Chamberlin first played the role from 1989 to 1991 and then returned in November 1997 until the show's cancellation in 2009. She also portrayed the character's dissociative identity disorder personality, Lorelei Hills, from 2001 to 2002. Chamberlin was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award in 2010 for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.
