Beth Lapides

Beth Lapides is an American writer, comedian, producer, and host. She is best known for creating Un-Cabaret, a live show that is considered the first alt-comedy show and a critical venue for the Los Angeles 'alternative comedy' movement. Un-Cabaret is known for its intimate, conversational style and has launched or relaunched the careers of numerous innovative voices in comedy. Beth has worked alongside notable comedians such as Patton Oswalt, Bob Odenkirk, Margaret Cho, Sandra Bernhard, Janeane Garofalo, and many others. The Un-Cabaret posse is known for their un-homophobic, un-xenophobic, un-misogynistic, and un-hacky approach to comedy.
