Beth Maitland

Beth Maitland (born May 12, 1958) is an American actress best known for her portrayal of Traci Abbott in the CBS Daytime soap opera The Young and the Restless from 1982 to 1996 and since 2001 on a recurring basis. She also stars as Gloria on The Grove: The Series created by Crystal Chappell. Born in Rapid City, South Dakota, Maitland moved to Scottsdale, Arizona at the age of seven. She began her acting career at a young age, appearing in community theatre and dinner theatre productions. Maitland attended Arizona State University, majoring in music and theatre. In 1978, she moved to Los Angeles, where she worked in night clubs while taking acting classes. Maitland has appeared in made-for-television movies and had a supporting role in Mr. Holland's Opus. She is also active in a Los Angeles theater company and has done voice over work, radio plays, and live performances with the Santa Clarita Playhouse.
