Betsy Baker
Betsy Baker is an American actress best known for her role as Linda in the film The Evil Dead (1981). Born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, she grew up in St. Joseph, Michigan. Baker studied theater education and classical voice at Michigan State University. She began her career with headline engagements throughout the south, performing with a group called Musicana. Baker then moved to Detroit, where she worked in television, radio voice-overs, and industrial films. Her breakthrough came when she was cast as Linda in The Evil Dead, after catching Sam Raimi's attention. After taking a break to focus on motherhood, Baker returned to acting in 2006. Her most recent film is Lake Eerie (2016).
