Bhavna Limbachia (born 21 April 1984) is a British actress known for her roles in television shows. She played Alia Khan in the BBC comedy Citizen Khan from 2012 to 2016, and Rana Habeeb in the ITV soap opera Coronation Street from 2016 to 2019. Limbachia was born in Preston, Lancashire to an Indian-born mother and a Kenyan-born father. She studied photography, fashion, and textiles before pursuing a degree in Costume Design at Bretton Hall. Prior to her acting career, she worked in costume departments on various film sets and even had her own business designing and selling vintage clothing. Limbachia eventually trained at the Manchester School of Acting and made her acting debut in a drama series.
