Bif Naked

Bif Naked, born Beth Torbert, is a Canadian singer and songwriter. She gained recognition for her powerful vocals and energetic performances. Bif Naked was born in New Delhi, India, and was later adopted by American missionaries. She spent her childhood in different places including Lexington, Kentucky, and Winnipeg, Canada. Graduating from John Taylor Collegiate, she studied theatre at the University of Winnipeg before starting her career as a stand-up comic. Bif Naked released her self-titled solo album in 1994, followed by several successful albums. She has been a prominent figure in the Canadian music scene and has been recognized as one of the top-selling Canadian artists. Bif Naked's unique stage name originated from a mispronunciation of her real name, Beth.
