Bill Bellamy is an American actor and stand-up comedian, born on April 7, 1965, in Newark, New Jersey. He gained national recognition for his appearances on HBO's Russell Simmons' Def Comedy Jam, where he is credited for coining the phrase "booty call." Bellamy attended Seton Hall Preparatory School and studied economics at Rutgers University. He became a well-known figure on MTV, serving as a VJ and hosting shows like MTV Jamz and MTV Beach House. Bellamy has appeared in numerous movies, including Fled, Love Jones, The Brothers, How to Be a Player, Getting Played, and Any Given Sunday. He also made guest appearances on the TV show Kenan and Kel and voiced Skeeter on the Nickelodeon show Cousin Skeeter.
