Bill Bolender is an American character actor and artist. He is best known for his small appearances in movies such as RoboCop 2, JFK, Reality Bites, The Shawshank Redemption, Nixon, and Dante's Peak. Bolender has also made guest appearances in several television shows including The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr., Walker, Texas Ranger, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, NYPD Blue, Alias, Deadwood, and Desperate Housewives. In addition to his acting career, Bolender is also an accomplished artist. He has a recurring role as Captain Ross in the television series JAG.
