Bill Chott (born July 23, 1969) is an American actor and comedian. He gained recognition for his role as Mr. Laritate on the Disney Channel series Wizards of Waverly Place. Chott's passion for acting began during his school years, where he participated in various plays and musicals. After graduating from Ritenour High School, he continued his theater pursuits at Central Methodist University in Missouri. In 1992, Chott relocated to Chicago and became involved in improvisational theater at ComedySportz, IO Theater, and the Second City comedy troupe. Notable contemporaries in the Chicago improv scene included Steve Carell, Stephen Colbert, Tina Fey, and Amy Poehler. Chott has toured the country and made his television debut on The Dana Carvey Show in 1995.
