Bill Erwin

Bill Erwin (December 2, 1914 – December 29, 2010) was an American film, stage, and television actor and cartoonist. With over 250 credits in television and film, Erwin was a veteran character actor. He received an Emmy Award nomination for his role as Sid Fields on Seinfeld in 1993. He also made memorable appearances on shows like I Love Lucy and Star Trek: The Next Generation. In cinema, Erwin is best known for his portrayal of Arthur Biehl in Somewhere in Time (1980). Additionally, Erwin was a talented self-taught cartoonist, whose work was published in The New Yorker, Playboy, and Los Angeles. Throughout his career, he received numerous awards and honors for his contributions to the entertainment industry, including the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award and the Pacific Pioneer Broadcasters' Diamond Circle Award.
