Billie Bird Biography
Billie Bird Sellen, professionally known as Billie Bird, was an American actress and comedian. Born on February 28, 1908, in Pocatello, Idaho, she was discovered at the age of eight while living in an orphanage. Bird began her career in vaudeville and theater/cabaret before transitioning to television and films. She made her film debut in 1950 and went on to appear in various movies. Notably, she had a brief, uncredited appearance in The Odd Couple and was a frequent collaborator with director John Hughes, appearing in films such as Sixteen Candles, Home Alone, and Dennis the Menace. Bird is also known for her role as Margie in the TV show Dear John from 1988 to 1992. She passed away on November 27, 2002.
