Billy Crudup is an American actor known for his versatile performances in both film and theater. Born on July 8, 1968, in Manhasset, New York, Crudup began his career in the late 1990s and quickly gained recognition for his work in independent films. He received an Independent Spirit Award nomination for his role in 'Jesus' Son' (1999). Crudup went on to star in several successful movies, including 'Almost Famous' (2000), 'Big Fish' (2003), 'Mission: Impossible III' (2006), 'Watchmen' (2009), and 'Alien: Covenant' (2017). In addition to his film work, Crudup is a four-time Tony Award nominee and won for his performance in 'The Coast of Utopia' (2007).
