Billy Wirth, born William E. Wirth on June 23, 1962, is an American actor, film producer, and artist. He is best known for his role as Dwayne in the 1987 film, The Lost Boys. Born in New York City to a lawyer father and an artist mother, Wirth's paternal grandparents were Russian Jewish immigrants. He attended Collegiate School and Brown University, where he was discovered by photographer Karen Michele. Using the headshots taken by Michele, Wirth began his modeling career in New York before moving to California in the 1980s to pursue acting. He made his debut in the 1985 film Seven Minutes in Heaven, followed by his breakthrough role in The Lost Boys. Wirth also starred in the 1988 film War Party.
