She later moved to New York City after living in Nashville for two years. Ross has toured as part of a production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella. She has made guest appearances on popular television shows such as Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Crafts & Burn, and Entrepreneur. Additionally, she has lent her voice to the animated series Spy Groove and portrayed the character of Ms. Philips in the video game Bully from Rockstar Games. Ross received critical acclaim for her portrayal of Dorothy Brock in the musical 42nd Street, with reviewers praising her zesty performance and haughty comic style.
