Blake Mawson

Blake Mawson (born April 24, 1984) is a Canadian actor, filmmaker, and screenwriter. He began his career in the early 2000s as an actor, with small roles in films such as X2, Freddy vs. Jason, and Nurse 3D, as well as television series like Cold Squad and Blade. Mawson later gained recognition as a director for his short film Pyotr495 (2016). The film received critical acclaim and Mawson won the Emerging Artist Award at the 2016 Inside Out Film and Video Festival. He was also nominated for a Canadian Screen Award for Best Direction in a Web Program or Series. Mawson is a graduate of the Directors' Lab program at the Canadian Film Centre.
