Robert Pickering "Bo" Burnham (born August 21, 1990) is an American comedian, musician, actor, and filmmaker. He gained popularity as one of the earliest YouTube stars in the late 2000s. Burnham's work combines elements of filmmaking with comedy genres such as music, sketch, and stand-up, often with a dramatic or tragic twist. He has released four comedy albums with Comedy Central Records, starred in three comedy specials, and published a poetry book. Burnham also created and starred in the MTV mockumentary series Zach Stone Is Gonna Be Famous and made his debut as a writer and director with the critically acclaimed drama film Eighth Grade in 2018. He has also directed comedy specials for other comedians.
