Bob Barr
Bob Barr is an American attorney and politician. He served as a federal prosecutor and as a U.S. Representative for Georgia's 7th congressional district from 1995 to 2003. Barr gained national prominence as one of the leaders of the impeachment of President Bill Clinton. He authored the Defense of Marriage Act during his time in the House of Representatives. Barr later joined the Libertarian Party and was their nominee for President of the United States in the 2008 election. He subsequently returned to the Republican party in 2011. Barr was born on November 5, 1948, in Iowa City, Iowa, to Robert Laurence Barr and Beatrice Barr.
