Robert Treman Clendenin (born April 14, 1964) is an American actor known for his roles in various TV shows and films. He gained recognition for portraying Dr. Tom Gazelian in the ABC comedy series Cougar Town and Dr. Paul Zeltzer in the comedy series Scrubs. Clendenin graduated from Cornell University in 1986 and earned his Master of Fine Arts from Penn State University in 1990. With over 110 roles in films, TV, and web series, he has established a career playing eccentric characters. Clendenin has appeared in a wide range of television shows, including The Tick, Charmed, Will & Grace, Ugly Betty, Gilmore Girls, Desperate Housewives, and many others. He has also made appearances on Star Trek: Voyager, My Name Is Earl, and Netflix's Longmire, among others.
