Bob Orrison Biography
Robert P. Orrison (July 28, 1928 – October 11, 2014) was an American film and television stunt performer known for his work as a stunt double. He was the double for actor Audie Murphy in many films and performed stunts in several John Wayne movies, such as The Undefeated and Chisum. Orrison's stunt work can also be seen in notable films like The Wild Bunch, Smokey and the Bandit, Rambo III, Days of Thunder, Die Hard 2, and Speed. On television, he worked on the original Star Trek series doubling for Leonard Nimoy and DeForest Kelley. He was also the primary stunt driver for the General Lee car on The Dukes of Hazzard and performed stunts for George Peppard on The A-Team. Orrison passed away on October 11, 2014, at the age of 86 in a traffic collision in Rancho Cordova, California.
