Bobby Bass (August 6, 1936 – November 7, 2001) was an American actor, stunt performer, and stunt coordinator/second unit director. Born in California, Bass was a judo champion in his teenage years and later became a third-degree black belt. He began his career in the stunt industry after being introduced by Gene LeBell. Prior to his acting career, Bass served in the military, initially as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division and later as a special forces instructor. Bass worked in various genres, collaborating with notable actors such as Burt Reynolds, Sylvester Stallone, and John Wayne. He also taught martial arts to several Hollywood stars including Geena Davis, Michael Douglas, Mel Gibson, and Susan Sarandon. Bass appeared in TV series like Fantasy Island, MacGyver, and Mission: Impossible.
