Bonnie Lynn Raitt (born November 8, 1949) is an American songwriter, blues singer, and guitarist known for her roots-influenced albums that blend elements of blues, rock, folk, and country. She gained critical acclaim with her self-titled debut album in 1971, and went on to collaborate with notable artists like Warren Zevon, Little Feat, and Jackson Browne. However, it was her tenth studio album, 'Nick of Time' (1989), that brought her major commercial success. The album topped the Billboard 200 chart and won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year. Raitt continued her success with the albums 'Luck of the Draw' (1991) and 'Longing in Their Hearts' (1994), both of which sold millions of copies.
