Boris Karloff, born William Henry Pratt, was an English actor known for his portrayal of Frankenstein's monster in the horror film Frankenstein (1931). He reprised the role in the sequels Bride of Frankenstein (1935) and Son of Frankenstein (1939). Karloff also appeared as Imhotep in The Mummy (1932) and voiced the Grinch in the animated television special of Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas! (1966), for which he won a Grammy Award. In addition to his film roles, Karloff acted in stage plays and appeared on radio and television programs. He was honored with two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960.
