Brad Leland (born September 15, 1954) is an American film and television actor. He is best known for his role as Buddy Garrity in the NBC/DirecTV series Friday Night Lights. With over 100 feature film and television show appearances, Leland has established himself as a versatile actor. Born in Lubbock, Texas, Leland's family moved frequently due to his father's military career. He played football for Plano High School in Plano, Texas, but a knee injury ended his athletic pursuits and led him to pursue a career in theater. Leland graduated from Texas Tech University in 1980 with a degree in acting and directing. After college, he relocated to Dallas and began his acting career.
