Brely Evans is an American actress, singer, songwriter, producer, author, and comedian. Born and raised in Oakland, California, she gained recognition for her work in various films and television shows. Evans started her career as a member of the R&B group Emage in the early 1990s. Her breakthrough came in 2010 when she appeared in the romantic comedy film Just Wright, alongside Queen Latifah. She continued to showcase her talent in films such as Sparkle, He's Mine Not Yours, David E. Talbert's Suddenly Single, Black Coffee, and The Man in 3B. On television, Evans had recurring roles in BET's Being Mary Jane and TV One's Born Again Virgin. In 2019, she starred in the Oprah Winfrey Network's prime time soap opera Ambitions, and also had series regular roles in Last Call and another show on the OWN network.
