He gained recognition for his roles in the Family series The Next Step and the Netflix dance drama series Tiny Pretty Things. Clost faced bullying during his school years but found solace in dance. He studied at various dance studios in southern Ontario, including the National Ballet School of Canada and Springboard Danse Montreal.
