Brent Butt Biography
Brent Leroy Butt is a Canadian actor, comedian, and screenwriter. He was born on August 3, 1966, in Tisdale, Saskatchewan. Butt gained recognition for his role as Brent Leroy on the CTV sitcom Corner Gas, which he also created. He is known for creating the television series Hiccups and writing the 2013 film No Clue. Butt attended Tisdale Unit Composite School and briefly studied at Sheridan College in Ontario before returning to Saskatchewan. He started his career as a drywaller and later co-founded Windwolf Graphics, a publishing company. In 1988, Butt began performing stand-up comedy and eventually moved to Toronto, performing at Yuk Yuk's comedy club.
