    Brett Gray is an American actor and singer, born on August 7, 1996. He gained recognition for his role as Jamal Turner in the Netflix series 'On My Block' and as Dal R'El in the Paramount+/Nickelodeon animated series 'Star Trek: Prodigy'. Gray was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He discovered his passion for acting at a young age and performed in his first professional show at the Academy of Music when he was 7. Gray attended The Philadelphia High School for Creative and Performing Arts as a Theater major. His breakthrough came with the lead role in 'On My Block', where he showcased his talent and also explored physical comedy, a genre he hadn't previously experienced. Gray also had a minor role in the 2019 Netflix limited series 'When They See Us'. In addition to acting, he is also a singer and released his debut single, 'O'.
