Brian Johnson (born October 5, 1947) is an English singer and songwriter. He is best known as the lead singer of the Australian rock band AC/DC, joining the band in 1980 after the death of Bon Scott. Prior to AC/DC, Johnson was a founding member of the rock band Geordie, which had a few hit singles including the UK Top 10 track 'All Because of You' in 1973. Johnson's first album with AC/DC, 'Back in Black', is considered one of the best-selling albums of all time. In addition to his successful music career, Johnson and the rest of the band were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003.
