He is best known for his role as Zack Johnson, a dim-witted but kind-hearted character, in the popular TV show The Big Bang Theory, where he appeared for nine seasons. Smith has showcased his talent on various television shows, including Fear Factor, Two and a Half Men, Happy Endings, The Neighborhood, 9-1-1: Lone Star, and United States of Al. On the big screen, he starred alongside Al Pacino and Annette Bening in the film Danny Collins, marking his collaboration with director Dan Fogelman. Smith has also acted in movies like Lethal Seduction, Babysplitters, The Wedding Party, and Concrete Blondes. He is a graduate of Central Missouri State University and was a member of the sketch comedy troupe, The Exploding Pajamas.
