Brian Thomas Wolfe (born November 29, 1980) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Toronto Blue Jays and in Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) for the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters, Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks, and Saitama Seibu Lions. Wolfe made his MLB debut with the Blue Jays, finishing his rookie season with a 3-1 record and a 2.98 ERA in 38 relief appearances. Notably, during his debut, he was involved in a controversial play where Alex Rodriguez of the New York Yankees may have shouted to distract a teammate, resulting in a run being scored. Wolfe later played in the NPB before becoming a free agent in 2009.
