Brit Marling Biography
Brit Marling is an American actress and screenwriter, born on August 7, 1982, in Chicago, Illinois. Rising to prominence with her roles in films premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, including Sound of My Voice (2011), Another Earth (2011), and The East (2013), she co-wrote and starred in each of these films. Additionally, Marling co-created, wrote, and starred in the Netflix series The OA, which premiered in 2016. She was born to property developer parents John and Heidi Marling and has a sister named Morgan. Marling attended Dr. Phillips High School in Orlando, Florida, and later graduated from Georgetown University in 2005 with degrees in economics and studio art, where she was also the class valedictorian.
