Bronagh Waugh

Bronagh Waugh (born 6 October 1982) is an actress from Northern Ireland. She is best known for her role as Cheryl Brady in the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, which she portrayed from 2009 to 2013. Throughout her time on Hollyoaks, Waugh received multiple award nominations, including Best Newcomer, Best Actress, and Best Comedy Performance at the 2010 British Soap Awards, as well as two nominations at the National Television Awards. Following her departure from Hollyoaks, Waugh has appeared in various dramas such as The Fall, Unforgotten, and the crime drama Ridley. Apart from her acting career, Waugh holds Canadian citizenship and has been a vocal advocate for same-sex marriage in Northern Ireland. She recently became a mother, giving birth to her first child in May 2021.
