Bruce Robert Allpress (25 August 1930 – 23 April 2020) was a New Zealand actor known for his appearances in television dramas and films. He began his career in the 1960s as a performer in the vaudeville minstrel show called the Cheeseman Singer Series. Allpress gained recognition for his role in the TV series Hunter's Gold and became a regular character on the soap opera Close to Home in the late 1970s. He also presented on various television and radio productions. Allpress's notable film credits include The Billy T. James Show, Nate and Hayes alongside Tommy Lee Jones, and his most known role as Aldor, the archer of Rohan in The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. He passed away on 23 April 2020 at the age of 89.
