Bruce Anthony Buffer (born May 21, 1957) is an American professional mixed martial arts ring announcer and the official octagon announcer for Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) events. He is introduced on broadcasts as the 'Veteran Voice of the Octagon'. Buffer is also the President and CEO of The Buffer Partnership, a company he co-owns with his half-brother, Michael Buffer, who is a well-known boxing and professional wrestling ring announcer. Bruce Buffer holds a black belt in Tang Soo Do and has fought as a kickboxer. He first began studying martial arts at the age of thirteen and has since become a recognized figure in the world of MMA.
