He has worked as an actor, writer, director, composer, and Grammy-nominated CD producer for the revival of Hello, Dolly. Kimmel has made notable appearances in various TV shows, including The Partridge Family, Happy Days, Laverne & Shirley, Alice, M*A*S*H, and Donny & Marie.
