Bruce Vilanch

Bruce Gerald Vilanch (born November 23, 1948) is an American comedy writer, songwriter, and actor. He gained recognition through his four-year stint as a celebrity participant on Hollywood Squares, where he also served as the head writer. Vilanch is a two-time Emmy Award winner and has written for prestigious award shows such as the Oscars, Tonys, Grammys, and Emmys. In 2000, he showcased his talents in his self-penned one-man show, Bruce Vilanch: Almost Famous, which received critical acclaim. Born in New York City and raised in Paterson, New Jersey, Vilanch was adopted by Jonas Vilanch, an optometrist, and his wife Henne, a housewife. He has made significant contributions to the entertainment industry through his comedic writing and acting abilities.
