Bruno Mars, born Peter Gene Hernandez on October 8, 1985, is an American singer-songwriter and record producer. With his stage performances and retro showmanship, Mars has become known for his versatility in performing various musical styles, including pop, R&B, funk, soul, reggae, disco, and rock. Accompanied by his band, the Hooligans, Mars showcases his talents on a range of instruments, including electric guitar, bass, piano, keyboards, drums, and horns. Originally from Honolulu, Hawaii, Mars relocated to Los Angeles in 2003 to pursue his musical career. In 2009, he co-founded the production team The Smeezingtons, responsible for successful singles for Mars and other artists. Mars gained widespread recognition in 2010 with the hits "Nothin' on You" and "Billionaire," leading to the release of his debut album Doo-Wops & Hooligans.
