Bryshere Y. Gray

Bryshere Yazuan Gray, born on November 28, 1993, is an American actor and rapper. He is best known for his role as Hakeem Lyon in the Fox primetime musical drama TV series Empire. Gray also gained recognition for his portrayal of Michael Bivins in the 2017 BET miniseries The New Edition Story. In addition to his acting career, Gray has performed at various music festivals in the Philadelphia area, including Jay Z's Made in America Festival and The Roots' Picnic Festival. He has opened for popular rappers such as Fabolous and 2 Chainz and released his debut single 'Respect' in 2013. Gray signed on with Columbia Records as a solo artist in 2015.
