Buck Meek

Buck Meek (born Alexander Buckley Meek on July 10, 1987) is an American musician hailing from Wimberley, Texas. He is best known as the guitarist and backing vocalist of the indie rock band Big Thief. Meek's passion for music began at a young age, with a focus on blues and folk genres. After attending Berklee College of Music, he moved to New York City where he supported himself by busking at subway stations. In 2014, Meek released two EPs with Adrianne Lenker before forming Big Thief alongside Lenker and Max Oleartchik. The band has since released five critically acclaimed studio albums, including the Grammy-nominated U.F.O.F. in 2019.
