    Bukky Bakray Biography
    Bukky Bakray is a British actress and writer, born in 2002. She gained recognition for her debut role in the film 'Rocks' (2019). At the age of 18, Bakray became the youngest recipient of the BAFTA Rising Star Award and was nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role. She was featured on the 2021 Forbes 30 Under 30 list. Bakray was born to Christian Nigerian parents in Hackney, East London and grew up on an estate in Lower Clapton. She attended Clapton Girls' Academy and Cardinal Pole Catholic School. Bakray joined the RADA Youth Company and trained at Theatre Peckham's Originate Actor Training programme. In addition to her film work, she made her television debut in the BBC One series 'You Don't Know Me' and contributed an essay to the collection 'Black Joy'.
